Frequently we are asked how long it is necessary to keep personal records. Therefore, to better serve our clients, we have developed a guideline for retention of the most common records. How long to keep your personal records is a combination of judgment and state and federal statutes of limitations. Requirements for records kept electronically are the same as for paper records.
